Is It Summer Yet?

Just a couple weeks ago we had an opportunity to drive out to Montana to share with a family of believers in the Bitterroot Valley. Snow was still on the ground and the breeze kept it too cold to wear anything short of a nice warm coat. We  stayed with Mandy's folks and had a fantastic relationship building time. We even had some time around a fire pit roasting hot dogs and marshmallows believe it or not. My kids were a little confused I think because they saw the sun and they thought it must be spring or summer, not the tail end of winter in the Bitterroot Valley.

We had an opportunity to share about Kenya and Gods vision for the Dorobo with Mandy's parents church body in Montana. What we realized after our sharing, is that the Lord will use the time we honor Him with, to do a work beyond what we can ever imagine. When we give him our obedience and uncertainty, He uses it to build up the body of Christ. We had some encouraging conversations with many people about the call the Lord has on their life and their desire for God to use them. YES! YES! YES! We are all called in the body of Christ. Local or Global. We have a purpose to live for Jesus and to share Him with others. When we do, there is a joy and a contentment that only comes from Him. We are looking forward to having more conversations around serving in Africa and hearing about how others are serving as well. It's like a huge puzzle that eventually fits together creating a beautiful art piece. We are just a piece of that puzzle, but when we come together so does the picture that God created. His love.

Once we got home, unpacked and washed tons of clothes we packed another bag for California where we would be able to share again about what the Lord is doing with our family and His call we are answering in moving to Kenya. However, just a day before leaving we celebrated Jeff's 50th birthday. What a gift he is to our family and those that know him. We are praying for another 50 years with him.

We are really enjoying recent opportunities we have been given to build relationships, we see God working in ways we never thought possible. If you would like to find out more about what we're doing, or would like to talk more about what the Lord's invited us into, let us know. We would love the opportunity to talk with and catch up with you.
